25th birthday

Thank you to everyone who took part in our birthday celebrations - whether you donated prizes or took part in the competitions. It was an exciting week, giving away 25 prizes over 5 days.

We had a fantastic range of prizes to give away, from luxury hampers to weekends away.

It was great to have Stephen Kelly, a founding member of Highland Wholefoods, taking part in the prize draws on the last day of our prize give-aways. Pictured here, Stephen is picking out the winners, assisted by Sheena and Kevin. Thank you, Stephen! Also in the picture is Stephanie Brown who won the voucher for a night's dinner, bed & breakfast at The Rumblie Guest House near Laggan.

We were really chuffed to hear that John Finnie MSP lodged a motion in the Scottish Parliament congratulating us on our 25th:

Motion S4M-11152: John Finnie, Highlands and Islands, Independent, Date Lodged: 08/10/2014

That the Parliament congratulates Highland Wholefoods Workers Co-operative on its 25th anniversary; understands that, since opening its doors in 1989, Highland Wholefoods Workers Co-operative has supplied vegetarian, vegan, organic, ethical and environmentally-friendly food, drinks and household products to the Highlands, islands and north-east Scotland; understands that the company is wholly owned by its 10 employees and has a turnover of more than £1 million per year; believes that the cooperative model is vital to the success of local economies, and wishes Highland Wholefoods Workers Co-operative the very best on its wonderful anniversary and for the future.
